On 4 May 2023, conservation communicator Peter Cairns led a compelling webinar hosted by the Forum for the Scottish Baronage on the rewilding initiative SCOTLAND: The Big Picture. The session focused on the growing importance of rewilding for nature, climate, and communities across Scotland.
Drawing on more than two decades of work as a photographer, filmmaker, nature tourism operator, and environmental advocate, Cairns outlined how large-scale ecological restoration can revive biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and create new economic opportunities in rural areas.
